How do you use spawners in GG SMP?

so i got 3 spawners on my hands and I am trying to make a mob farm but the mobs are not spawning even though it says they are in the spawner settings. Please help me.

Hey so are you making the spawners in your town because if you are you need to toggle mob spawns

Make sure you are also within 16 blocks of the spawners.

That dosent really affect it on the server u can be anywhere were the chunks are loaded so if u want it running make like a chunk loader
